Panasonic LX-7. A used one was about $200 two years ago. Now it is about $300. Introduced in market in 2012, it has a Leica lens f1.2-2.3, 24-90mm, good for astrophotography, and low light evening outdoor shots. The good camera was made in Japan. (The bird shots were taken with an iPhone when the LX-7 was low in battery).

Panasonic DMC LX-5. This model is some 12 years old. Still takes good pictures. The present value is about $200, used. I got a good deal. With Leica lens, the unit is made in Japan.
I believe we have had 18” of snow in the last 10 hours. It is very unusual in mid April. According to forecast, it will be non-stop tonight.

The camera has been in market for more than 13 years; it still takes high quality pictures. Present value is about $70 depending on quality. The used battery, fully charged, took about 50 pictures. No complaints. Good for traveling, the camera is about the size of a cassette tape. I believe this model is all made in Japan.
