Nikon 300s.  Trees in the foreground deepen our view of distant scenery, both in Chinese Paintings and in photography.  出枝 is a common skill in Chinese Painting.  It often characterizes the painting and the painter.  I have read little about this skill being talked about in painting books in the west. 出 is a verb; it means out-go in brush stroke (mind driven). 枝 means tree branch(es).

Micron Nikkor 200 f4, Pentax K-5IIs. This lens has been praised highly by users. The title says Happy New Year. Please pick a greeting card from my album. Thank you,

Pentax K-3.  I got this lens (Sigma 70-210 f4.5) a few years ago from an elderly couple who sold their house and were having a garage sale.  I was interested in their wide angle lens.  They wanted me to take the whole lot (the two lenses, the camera and the bag) for the price of the wide angle lens which was CDN$30.  This Sigma lens has a lot of haze in it.  I used Tiffen Dfx to remove the fog.  It is one of lightest 70-210mm lenses that I came across.

Nikon 300s.  Hoya lenses are rare. They make filters. There was light haze in the one that I got for $10.  I can’t be happier.
