Nikon 300s.  Trees in the foreground deepen our view of distant scenery, both in Chinese Paintings and in photography.  出枝 is a common skill in Chinese Painting.  It often characterizes the painting and the painter.  I have read little about this skill being talked about in painting books in the west. 出 is a verb; it means out-go in brush stroke (mind driven). 枝 means tree branch(es).
